I’m sitting in Cell Phys right now waiting for our spinach to stop centrifuging. I’m also falling asleep. The past few days have been insanely busy. Monday I had orientation for my job ALL day. When that got out I ran to school to hand in an essay and then had to go get scrubs for my job. Yesterday I had to finish my lab report for chem and had wind ensemble. Today I had a cell phys exam and I have Bells later. I just want to sleep. Sadly, I’m the kind of person who can’t function without 8 hours of sleep so this week has been hard. And it’s just going to get harder.

I’m in the lab tomorrow for 6 hours. I’m a bit anxious about it. For being reserve, I have a lot of hours. At least I get paid…

I got really lucky this week. Last week I was freaking out about all the stuff I had to do by tomorrow. Turns out I only ended up having one thing due and it was so simple, it took all of 15 minutes.

This weekend and next week will be busier. But I just thought I’d update to let people know I’m still alive and I haven’t forgotten about the site.

So brilliant me just realized that I have citations, an essay, and an exam due all on the Monday I have to miss class for my job. FML! This is just my luck and my life. So now I’m freaking out about getting all of this done in a week. The essay and citations are easy enough since I can just hand them in, but I don’t know when I’ll be taking my Cell Phys exam now. There is a small chance my teacher may move it back since we are behind, but I don’t know. So sorry for the lack of new material. I will be spending the next week on school work. -_- I already have a migraine…

I thought Spring Break was about relaxing. I was wrong.

I’ve been working on stuff for my mom’s work and today I spent 3 hours doing pre-employment stuffs. Then I went to my friend’s house and then bells. I’m going to go collapse in bed as soon as I post this.

I really wanted to get ahead on school work, but that looks less and less likely. Tomorrow I have to get my ~adult 21+ license and get fingerprinted for my job. Then I have to finish my mom’s stuff and it’ll be near 70 (!) so I might just take a nap outside. I can’t believe it’s the end of Wednesday already. Where did the week go?

Yep! After 2 weeks of intense freak-out mode with a bunch of different mis-steps, I actually got the job.

I’m kinda in disbelief. It just seemed like since the interview, nothing was going my way.

It’s a reserve position, so I can still focus on school, and it’s ~$11.50 an hour. O_O
I’ll basically be making microscope slides from specimens (tumors, limbs, etc.) straight from the OR for the pathologists to look at. It’s funny because the when the lab supervisor was interviewing me, she asked if I was okay with the whole body part thing. Please, only “morbid” people like me would stay up til 4 AM during the Summer to watch “Secrets of the Body Farm” on TV. (Which was extremely interesting, btw) Haha. Anyway, after my Anatomy lab last semester, any squeamishness I might have had left has definitely gone.

So yeah. I have to miss a whole day of school in 2 weeks, but I think/hope my teachers will understand. In the meantime, I’m going out for a celebratory dinner tonight… which I probably shouldn’t do because I have to have a physical for this job on Wednesday. Oh well.
